5 DAYS MASAI MARA AND LAKE NAIVASHA SAFARI PACKAGE
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve.
Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve located in the south west of Kenya’s capital Nairobi.Drive via the Great Rift Valley toMasai Mara in time for lunch. Along the drive, stop by the Great Rift escarpment’s view point at Mai Mahiu where you can look down at the escarpment and have a distant view of Mt. Longonot, Mt. Margaret and Mt. Suswa. Arrive and check in to your lodge or camp then proceed to have your lunch. You can take a short rest before taking your afternoon game drive till dusk.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded among them, about 57 species of birds of prey. The sensation is unparalleled!!
Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve.
On this day, have an early full breakfast. With your lunch already packed, spend the day viewing game in Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve…the Masai Mara National Reserve. The morning and the afternoon game drives will take you in search of Africa’s Big 5 and other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp or lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha.
A morning game drive then back to the lodge for breakfast. Check out of your lodge and proceed to Lake Naivasha where you will check in to Elsamere lodgeand have lunch. After lunch take a boat ride on the lake where you will see the BigHippos of the Lake Naivasha and later proceed to Crescent Island where you can have a walk. Later return back to the lodge for the famous “High Tea”…what Elsamere is known for, as you relax and enjoy the magnificent view of the lake. Later, dinner will be served and thereafter watch the documentary “Born Free” of the Joy Adamson Story.
Day 4: Naivasha
Early morning breakfast then depart for Hells Gate National Park with your picnic lunch packed for you. Here you can walk or rent out bicycles and cycle at the park. This is the only park in Kenya that you can walk or do other several activities. You can visit the Fischer’s Towers, the rock climbing and even make a try to rich at the top. Continue the tour of the park and take a walk down the gorge. After the hike down, take a short lunch break to enjoy your packed lunch.
After lunch, take a visit to the geothermal site, Ol Karia Spa which is one of the largest spas in Africa. There are no artificial additives or treatments done in it therefore many health and skin benefits are attributed to bathing in this natural spa. After your siesta, drive back to your lodge for the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Return to Nairobi.
Have your morning breakfast then check out of your lodge. Drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon. You will bedropped back to your hotel in Nairobi or at the international airport to catch your flight back home.
